The Centre for Environmental Justice and Development (CEJAD) made significant strides in 2024, advancing its mission to promote sound chemicals and waste management for a healthier environment.
Key achievements included influencing policy discussions at national and international levels, empowering grassroots communities, and promoting multi-stakeholder collaborations. Highlights include sensitising over 350 people on zero waste, training 2,700 miners on sustainable practices, and advocating for the elimination of toxic chemicals in plastics and lead in paint. CEJAD also expanded its impact through regional and global engagements, such as participating in plastics treaty negotiations and hosting events to drive environmental justice.
